Hi girls and boys,
yesterday morning I wasn't a bright day, or rather was a very cloudy and foggy day. At about nine o'clock Nicola contacted me for deciding to went out for a short tour in the mountain. By now we have been expert mountain hikers, (? :-) ) then we have agreed that over the cloudy maybe there was a sunny day... with this hope we have arrived at the parking place at eleven o'clock. After a while we have walked through the clouds. When the dirty road has raised here and there has appeared plaque of snow, after half hour we have come out of clouds, we have been over that gray
and soft curtain. A wonderful and peer less landscape has disclosed in front of our eyes. An ocean of motion clouds has travelled under our foots and in the distance only the highest mountain top has appeared like an enormous static iceberg made of snow and rocks.
All around us has been dreaming and fairing, mughi trees has had white plume of snow that had modeled by the wind, the snow that covered the small hill close to us has appeared like soft dune made of crystal. After a while we have been on a large path in the snow trace on the crown that bring us to Altissimo mountaintop, on our left two curios black shadow has followed us on another path traced on the snow by the funny paintbrush of the midday sun. In twenty minutes we have "conquered" the mountaintop at 2058 meter of high and we have sited on a bench inside the mountain refuge Damiano Chiesa with the company of a typical hikers liquor the parampampoli.
After a while we have been out of refuge to eatten my last delicious mountain-hikers cake: zelten that is a typical Trentino Christmas cake, I promise you that I'll post the recipe before Christmas. So we have been really ready to depart to went back through the same snow path from we had come, in less then a hour we have reached the car ready to come back home.
I would like thanks with Nicola for the good and smart company, less for him despotic decisions (:-p)... thanks a lot Nicola!
Yesterday I really enjoyed because I saw a little piece of the wonderful mountain winter landscape, with its dreaming and strange shape, I saw ethereal panoramas that only who want see could find.
Yesterday down in valley was a typical autumnal gray day but over the gray clouds was an incredible bright and fairy blue day. Now I ask to myself how many times I didn't try to find the blue sky in me over my gloomy clouds!
